An ecosystem for mental fitness.

House Of Prama is building everything a person needs to train their mind, and everything an institution needs to bring that training to its people: a personal practice, a physical journal system, live community, programmes for campuses and workplaces, one app, and the research that measures it all.

The problem

Most of young India is functioning, and far from flourishing.

33 MHQ

Mind health score for India's internet-enabled 18–34-year-olds; ranked 60th of 84 countries

62%

of Indian employees are struggling; 17% are thriving

US$14B

yearly cost to Indian employers, led by presenteeism

Care in India begins at the breaking point. The everyday layer, training the mind while you're well, is still waiting to become a category.

The solution

Mental fitness as its own category: live, social, measured, daily.

  • Seven trainable domains: regulation, self-awareness, resilience, mastery, connection, purpose, vitality
  • Built on Indian evidence: grounded in a NIMHANS study where 35 Indian experts defined positive mental health for Indian adults, identifying 13 dimensions, including 8 considered new compared with the wellbeing frameworks studied
  • Measured progress: members track change on the MHC-SF, a free wellbeing scale validated in India
  • A clear boundary: HOP trains wellbeing, clinicians treat illness, and HOP refers people to clinical care when signals call for it

Why now

The conditions are lining up all at once.

“Mental fitness” is entering Indian supply now; the practice-led centre is up for grabs

City life is removing what once kept minds fit for free: connection, reflection, unfilled time and the rhythm of sleep.

What we've validated

Built on work already done.

Before any of this was a page on a website, it was months of work. We held live sessions across India and stayed with the people who came to them, through interviews and questionnaires, listening for what genuinely helps and what merely sounds good.

Every session then went through our Beta Testing Lab, where students and working adults ran it through cycle after cycle, so what remains is what held up in a real room with real people.

Alongside the on-ground work, we read. Indian studies led the way, and the Why Now case alone rests on more than 90 sources.

Now we're ready to build.

How we're building it

Eleven pieces, one daily rhythm.
